Behind the Scenes

Taking pictures for the Spring/Summer 2020 collection on a cold December day can be quite a challenge. Thankfully the sunny weather was by our side as well as the amazing photographer Claus Troelsgaard. We would like to give you a glimpse behind the scenes in the making of the beautiful pictures for this season.

As you see our photographer was neatly packed in a jumper, with both hat and mittens during the photoshoot. But the real star on the set was little Mathilde who walked around the beach in 5 degrees. Between each photo, we warmed her with blankets and thankfully she loved it and had a great time! Many have asked where Mathilde’s clothes are from and we lent most of it from the Danish children’s brand MarMar.

Another star on the set was our OYOY dog - a little doodle dog named Luna. She was with us all day and she might have had the best day of all.

The surroundings were fantastic and there is nothing greater than the Danish nature along the coast. The photoshoot was located at the OYOY house which felled like a natural spot for the Spring/Summer collection. The home is the heart of the family and this is where we meet and spend time together. Spending time together in inspiring and beautiful surroundings reinforces the feeling of togetherness.

The Spring/Summer collection fulfills this and proves what we say: OYOY is a family brand. The products for the kids are so lovely that the adults don't mind having them in their rooms. Also, the products for adults are very useful to use in children's rooms.

More than just a design brand, OYOY is for modern families in the search of re-calling childhood memories and creating new ones. Our design collections are rooted in the Danish traditions of simplicity. We represent a playful yet straight forward aesthetic approach to design and we accompany everyday family life.

Our vision is to be the strongest Danish design brand offering home accessories for children, adults and the homes they live in. We strive to be respectful and dedicated to the manufactured products, all people involved and our surrounding nature – always with a creative and playful approach in mind.
